The Statutes: FISEC is an international federation of which the legal structure has been laid down in its statutes. FISEC's statutes are in French.

The General Assembly: the 'core' of FISEC, the General Assembly meets in November of each year. Two representatives per member country are entitled to a number of votes corresponding to the participation of their country in the Games, over the last 3 years. Through this voting system the general policy of the organization is determined.

Executive Bureau: during an extra GA statutory meeting prior to the General Assembly of 2008 it was decided to change the statutes with regard to the number of Bureau Members and the function of Secretary General. As of 2008 the Executive Bureau consists of: a President, two Vice-presidents, a Treasurer, a Secretary, the president of the CTI (International Technical Commission) and the president of the CIRPP(International Pedagogical and Pastoral Commission). The members of the Bureau (7) all have the same status.

The CTI: International Technical Committee: this Commission safeguards the conformity of competitions with the international regulations. The CTI includes a delegate per country and is headed by its President. The CTI determines regulations (laid down in the handbook) and monitors the implementation of the regulations by appointing independent 'Supervisors" per sport during the games.

The CIRPP: International Pedagogical and Pastoral Commission: the objective and responsibility of this commission is to determine and implement a framework to safeguards the 'spirit' of the FISEC events. The CIRPP includes one member of each country and is headed by its President. The responsibility and working ground of the CIRPP includes all activities during the Games, sportive and otherwise.

FISEC Staff : in addition, there is the FISEC Staff, consisting of three people: the President of the CTI, the secretary of the CTI and a member of the Bureau. The Staff is the interface between the Organizing Committee of the Games and FISEC. It is their task to monitor the progress of the preparations and to assist the Organizing Committee before and during the Games.

FISEC Summer Games: FISEC aims to organize at least one major sports event per year. Since the nineties FISEC has been organizing the FISEC Summer Games, taking place in the second half of July. The Summer Games are hosted by one of its member states. On average some 1100 participants in the age group of 13-17 participate in these Games.
